Addendum to Hike and Picnic

Not having gone on the hike and picnic myself, I didn't realize that Colin is "chewing like a bear" in the third picture down.
The kids were chewing like a rabbit, dog, and bear at the picnic.
Now you know... the rest of the story.

Photo Montage

Colin's day, from the top:
Bathtime is more fun when servants bathe and dry you.
Talking with family.
Telling his flashlight to stop talking back to him.
Turns out, Hidalgo isn't such an exciting movie after all.

Last Night

Not surprisingly I've fallen behind with blogging. Yesterday was church then a cleaning spree, but the girls did manage to get these photos of Colin playing and Colin chilling out with a glass of milk.
Today a maid team came and now we have a spotless castle! I'll try to get lots of photos of Colin playing indoors, preferably in the kitchen and bathrooms so you can admire the maids' hard work..

Story Time

On his first real night at the farm, Colin got books read by Becky.
He and Katie were out like lights soon afterward.
His day was so active, and to top it off, he used the elliptical machine every time he came indoors. I hope his little legs don't hurt him from the ridiculous amount of work they had to do.
All in all, he had more adventures in one day than many boys have in a week, or a month, or even a year!
They found deer skulls on their creek walk. We discussed plans for driving off zombies in case of an attack. He got his own space in the tree house. And he got eggs in spite of a mean rooster. He should have plenty to dream about tonight.

Phenix Truck Parade in all its Glory

There was a helicopter this year!
Longest line of trucks ever.
Colin got only a few pieces of candy. Bad year for candy at the parade.

That's Frank!

Wheelbarrow Tour

Being the baby of the family has its advantages.
Getting a close up visit with Margaret the friendly cow clearly doesn't fall into the "advantage" category for Colin.

Egg Collecting

And this time, I put the pictures in reverse timeline because I can never get it right about how to put the last one first, etc.
Here, from the bottom, is Colin heading down to the eggs in the coop, with his posse.
A chicken egg!
A sheep friend.
A duck egg!
Still holding the egg while feeding Nicoale and Kelly.

Colin Walking Like a Ball

I think the title says it all.

Heater Vent Fun

Here are two cousins over the heater in their hot air capsule on a bitterly cold morning. They had frozen themselves by going to Cub Creek in the wee hours of said morning.

One guess as to the identities of the two under the sheet.

More Disordered Photos

The moon is from the .6 mile haunted walk. Toward the end of our walk, the fall evening was beautiful and crisp, with a full moon because it's Saturday.
The nighttime activities are a sample of us playing with very good friends who live near the transfer point, and we don't see often enough.
Colin had a good time outdoors in the frigid air with his new friends.

Colin's Visit

For the child transfer, we met at a haunted tunnel.
A .6 mile walk was enjoyed by all, especially by the disembodied presence who showed his shadow to Uncle Lynn and tapped me on the shoulder.

Unfortunately, in my haste to start this blog, I put the photos in backwards, but you can probably figure out the timeline for yourselves.
